My Happy Mind at Park Primary
At Park Primary School, we are committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of all our pupils. As part of this commitment, we follow the My Happy Mind program across the whole school.
My Happy Mind is a science-backed curriculum designed to help children develop resilience, self-regulation, and a positive mindset. The program is based on positive psych
ology and neuroscience, teaching pupils essential life skills to support their emotional well-being.
What Does My Happy Mind Teach?
Through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, children learn about:
- Understanding the Brain – Learning how the brain works and how to keep it healthy.
- Growth Mindset – Building resilience and confidence to face challenges.
- Gratitude & Positivity – Developing habits that promote happiness and well-being.
- Self-Regulation & Relaxation – Learning breathing techniques and mindfulness strategies.
- Character Strengths – Recognising and developing personal strengths.
Why Do We Use My Happy Mind?
We believe that mental well-being is just as important as personal development and learning progress. The My Happy Mind program helps children develop lifelong emotional resilience, improves self-esteem, and fosters a positive school culture. By embedding these skills in daily life, we empower our pupils to navigate challenges with confidence and a positive outlook.
